So will the "test" league get closed once the new rosters are put out?

Nope. When the rosters come out today, if they have not already, we will start to run tests, with trades and salaries, etc. League Manager is working things out and testing things also. I like the site becaue they want to make sre it is done right. Once we play around with it and everyone understands how it all is done...we will move forward.
We also have a ton to discuss regarding FA Bidding, Trade Committees, Salaries, and such. We got a ton to discuss once we get roster and the site gets all updated. ALl these areas require Philly, so once he wants to ddress them and get the conversation rolling, we will start.
Hope that helps a bit.
I am ready to start this thing too!

I'm signing up Sunday, and Nation and I need to talk about the most recent update... But in the FNGTest league I'm looking to trade Frank Gore, and Patrick Willis just to test the league salary cap out... Any takers?

There are two systems for the cap, I put in the "real" NFL Salaries, and of course there are a few updates that need to be down, and when the "real" FNG is created then it will have the most current salaries and contracts.
I was really thinking that we need to think about going with the point based system, which would be easier for us to manage. It will get complicated with the actual salaries. But we will see.
Let me know what you think about the site at this point.

Juat a few more things you can be thinking on that we need to discuss are:
1. FA Bidding 2. Draft Committee 3. Penalities for missing game deadlines and quiting early (Player Suspensions) 4. Salary Cap
Thanks man.
Talk to you @ 3:30pm.

While adding all the bells and whistles sounds cool, I think that sometimes those kind of things can bog a League down. How many seasons did we make it through last year? 3 at the most? do we really need stuff like salary caps to worry about?. I'd just like to caution against taking ourselves to seriously. I had alot of fun playing in a pretty simple League with you guys last year. Do we really need tons of new rules and change? That being said...
I'm here to play. I'm definitely not trying to sound dissenting, just wanted to toss my 2 cents in. I'm totally down and support any changes management want to make. Its your league and you guys do the heavy lifting. I'm just glad to be apart of it.

Thanks for the feedback GC, I can appreciate your concern.
The things we are adding, we already had. Trade and FA. All we are doing is adding a tool to help us manage it. For example, FA Bidding with be open for 24 hours after the advance of the week, and each team will have the opportunity to "bid" or "offer" what they think the player is worth, if they have the cap room of course. The team with the cap room and the winning bid will sign the player.
Adding the Salary cap requires no more work for anyone, but it takes a ton of pressure off of our trading committee cause it will be the first wall of defense of team stacking. It will keep all teams honest in the pursuit of building there teams. It evens the playing field. We had a ton of team last season that were stacked, and this will only help all owners involved. There is also a cap penalty, which will discourage dropping and adding of players just to do it.
As a league we must grow and change to better the league in a whole. It will make it better for everyone involved.
Did I mention that there will also be "CPU Intelligence" involved with the new site when it comes to trading players with the cpu. It is very cool. I tried a trade this morning that was "slightly" Denver favored, and it turned the CPU rejected the trade. This will help in our CPU trading also.
This site that we switched to is amazing. I will make us better..trust me.

Nation is right... This new website rocks! I think (as he mentioned already, it helps us run the league more like the NFL, and more realistically, without the issues. The cap we are using is a point system cap, which is much easier than a real one, and is a lot easier to understand once everyone gets on the fngtest website, and looks at it. If you don't have the cap room, you can't do it... Plain and simple. If you make to many moves, you'll limit next years' flexibility! It is really exciting just talking about it! The quicker folks get signed up to the "test" league and website, the faster we will be prepared for the season. This next update should be the most accurate, and I'm confident we can get started soon. Work is slowing down, so I can focus on returning to the NFC Championship! (figured I'd get the smack talking started early since the Bucs owner skipped town to the AFC)
