I played them week 13. This game was closer than the score (GB 21 - SF 38) would lead you to believe. The GM's name is Bat Rastard 22. He has been in the Fun N Games league for 3 years.
The first half, I only scored two field goals. (I usually average 60 points a game) The Packers only scored 1 TD which kept the game close. I think Patrick Willis knocking out Aaron Rodgers in the first quarter/drive helped a little too...
Their defense is SOLID. They all are sure tacklers, and do not bother throwing to Charles Woodson's side. (Unless you have an all-star at reciever.) Nick Barnett, Clay Matthews and AJ hawk all are a terror to deal with.
At the start of the 3rd quarter, Crabtree got behind the defense for a 28 yard TD, and I got a interception-touchdown when he was on his own 25 throwing his first screen pass to Greg Jennings. Speaking of Greg Jennings, he is annoying to deal with. Almost impossible to cover, and seems to be always open. I had to manually cover him a few times, just to make him pass to someone else.
Bat Rastard runs a passing offense. the 49ers are pretty stout against the run which would explain his difficulty finding success on the ground against me, but with only 7 rushing attempts, he decided early that passing was a better way to victory. I got a few big runs with Gore to seal the lead and close the game out.
When you play the Packers, prepare to stop the pass with Jennings as the main target, but he can and will throw to his running back (Grant) and tight end. (Finley) But he isn't a cheesey player and (like I do) does punt on 4th down in situations that call for a punt. Very fair player, and I look forward to seeing him in the playoffs for a rematch.
