Raiders 45 - Broncos 21
With just more than three minutes left in the 2nd quarter Knowshon Moreno took the ball into the endzone capping off a methodical 16 play 5:15 drive to take the lead 21-14.
The game quickly took a turn for the worse as the Broncos failed to score a single point in the second half. Hampered by a couple turnovers by Mr. Kyle Orton and a silly 4th and 12 attempt around midfield when the game was still within 10 points, the raiders scored 31 unanswered to blow out the Broncos on their own field.
The Raiders will rarely run the ball up the middle. The only time he did it was after a 10-15 yard yard completion. Every time he ran it up the middle it was with his powerback micheal bush, I dont know if this is because McFadden was tired or if it was because he wanted to try to power through for a short 2-5 yard gain. The only other run he did was a toss play... which lost about 3-7 yards per attempt. What I'm getting at is that his run game was only used to keep you honest and was easy to tell when he was going to run it (tight I form) and others like it.
The passing game however was very effective... in the second half. In the first half he was unable to move the ball at all. The first score, i was caught in the middle of an audible and the other was a pick six. in the second half, i dont know what happened to my proud D. he still couldn't run, but he started doing slants, drags, and super short curls almost every play. so if you can stop those you should be good.
The game was fun and i feel that i had the chance to win, but started making bad plays. hope this is informative.
PS. Jay Cutler is on the trading block for the upcoming offseason, im thinking a 1st or 2nd rounder, or a good QB and a 3rd rounder from me, but i will officially post this in the appropriate thread

Hmm... Jay Cutler? Sorry about your loss... It looks like when you went for it on 4th down you lost momentum, and he took advantage of that at home. Yes sir... He is a VERY good passer. He maximizes Jason Cambell's passing ablility! I guess he deserves his 9-0 record! Good luck next time!

Sounds like someone needs a tissue....I watched the Raiders and Broncos trade scores until the second half. I feel like this...If someone is running something on offense and you can't stop it then that's your issue. If I can pass using routes that you have problems stopping then that's your fault...Going for it on 4th down is a no no in my book unless you wanna get beat worst!!! As any good player and they'll tell you that it only takes a few of us 1 or 2 quarters to figure out what gimmick another player is using....then it gets shut down! Better luck next time..

The game was fun and i feel that i had the chance to win, but started making bad plays. hope this is informative. Most importantly, BW had fun. ;D That's the whole point of the league... Looking at your post a little more critically, you seem to know when you lost control of the game, and when your opponent (Black Reign) took advantage of weaknesses he saw. Hopefully you'll learn from this lesson and use it in your next game. Looking at the stats... (Which is where you will always see what went wrong) You had 1 punt, 2 interceptions (one went for a TD) and 3 failed 4th down conversions. That adds up to 6 turnovers. Now if you subtract the Raiders only turnovers (3 punts) that give him +3 in the turnover category. Looking at this, if I had to guess what you lost by, (I know it was by 24 points) I would say 21 points or more. How to solve this issue? (that's assuming you wanna' know) #1. Punt more. 1 punt out of 59 snaps with a 3rd down percentage of 31% (4 for 13) is losing football. The Raiders owner is dangerous, and will convert turnovers into points. Your opponent was 33% (2 for 6) on third down, which is why he punted 3 times. Additionally, punting forces your opponent to drive the full length of the field to score, versus giving him a short field. This long drive gives your defense more looks at what he is doing on offense, and also gives you more opportunities for getting turnovers from you opponent as well. Try it, you'll see it works. #2. Do your best to set up convertable 3rd downs. This is harder than it sounds. What ever your strength is, try to go with it on first down to just get 5 or more yards. Long bombs are nice, but setting up convertable 1st downs are the bread and butter of long successful drives. 2nd and 5 yards or less gives the offense much more confidence than 2nd and 13 or 2nd and 10. This is why the running game (to me) is so important. #3. Kick field goals. You didn't score in the second half. After a kickoff, most people can at least get to the 20-25 yardline. Typically it's the 30 yardline. All of your kickers have 90 or better kick power. A drive from the 20 yard line to the opponents' 30 yardline is 50 yards. That is 5 first downs assuming you only get 10 yards each first down. Your run game is pretty good. You got almost 100 yards rushing, (98) so you shouldn't have issues scoring. Every drive doesn't have to be a touchdown. Hope this helps,

So I like everyone else has fallen victim to the Raiders and are praying for a loss so here's some added material in regards to the Raiders playstyle...
On Offense he's pretty quick with the trigger and considering everybody knows I blitz on pretty much every down he took advantage. he loves to throw in the flats to McFadden when you play man coverage or crowd the middle of the field. he also loves to throw the slant routes from the weak side receiver and the short fade routes to the Tight end. he's really smart in disguising his plays so you're not really sure when he's running certain routes. his run plays are obvious to call but in general I like his play style. his defensive playcalling is pretty smart to... can't wait for the rematch to end the season. we can't let this guy go undefeated.

Swauny...
I have to give it to you... great assessment! It was fair, and to the point. Also, it was very accurate. Like I said in our post game messages, I too look forward to the rematch! Much success on the rest of your season...
